thanks B.

last night i met beyonce. she swept in, fan machine first, thigh highs crotch level, diva destined for a birthday celebration in my honor.
up until last night i worshiped michael jackson.
the way he dances, the way he moves, his timid demeanor hidden behind a childish facade. i loved it.
i was young.
i wanted the sexless dance of a terrified child.
something about this year says BEYONCE. its a new year,
i am superstitious.
i woke up this morning only to discover the transition from frightened child prodigy to super sexed prima donna has happened and i almost missed my que.
i worship at the feet of a new dancer, i muscle for position among the round about hips of my inspired darling POP sensation.
dear 28 years old, this year i want to bring a little beyonce to my life.
can you make this happen?

pecha kucha_9

last night i went to the cause+affect pecha kucha show at the park theatre.
PECHA KUCHA > a presentation format in which content can be easily, efficiently and informally shown, usually at a public event designed for that purpose. Under the format, a presenter shows 20 images for 20 seconds apiece, for a total time of 6 minutes, 40 seconds.
it was really cool, interesting people showed us pictures and talk about what they do. the arts in vancouver have come to a strange place [endless olympic related cut backs, city in growth, the re-claimed territory of east hastings] and it was cool to hear all about the things that are happening in my new city.

temple curry.

every sunday the temple opens up for a free lunch.
this is the best thing i have discovered so far in Vancouver. It is legitimately the best curry I have had, and it is free.
go to the temple.
eat free curry.
smile.

simone just compared me to rachel green.

simone - ya thats because you are rachel.
me - what?
simone - you are rachel green .. from friends. You like wieners, your totally self involved and she is the only one into fashion.
me - oh.

arrows and words.
pointing at pre-schools and directionals for the rain.
Vancouver is a shake down of stimulation.
i am still a tourist,
staring at the mountains, waiting for the sound of music
and hooded nuns to take me away.
